The beauty and utility of Moroccan Rugs started with the Berbers, indigenous people of North Africa, centuries ago. Today the tradition continues with these gorgeous hand woven rugs, each one a unique artistic creation. These black and white rugs are known as Beni Ourain Berber Carpets, hand woven in the Middle Atlas Mountain Range out of 100% natural wool. Carpet craftsmanship is an important part of the Moroccan economy, with the income supporting many villages and tribes in the Atlas region.
Each rug handmade, so will vary in size and design. Each picture shows the exact design of the one-of-a-kind rug. The dimensions are listed in the photo.
CARE: Vacuum on low or medium setting as needed. For stains, blot off the excess then use a mixture of distilled vinegar and cold water in a 1-to-1 ration. Spray on to saturate the wool, then brush gently with a toothbrush or other soft bristle brush. Do not rub the stain. For tough stains we recommend using a professional rug cleaner.
